Im just waiting to wear my scarf, sit on my chair and paint at my desk with the heater on and a nice cup of tea...Christmas wise, I'm hoping to get a little cash to bolster my necrons a bit.

My Son said basically the same thing to me when we were discussing Christmas a few days ago, when I stated that I absolutely agreed with him and suggested we just skip giving any presents this year he quickly changed his mind.

That's pretty funny, although if I got the same message I wouldn't mind too much as I try to spend as much as possible with my own earned money instead of free loading my parents plus it teaches me how to

budget and shop smart.

... Yeah, but your a reasonably intelligent young adult, who's clearly aware of the notion of " consumer driven holidays"...whereas my kid was just trying to " tell me what he thought I wanted to hear" ( which was so obvious it was painful)....so I decided to play along...being well aware that at 10 years old, were he not to wake on Christmas morning and find presents under the tree he'd most likely have a nervous breakdown.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't have been any different at his age also I wouldn't consider myself quite an adult I'm not really living on my own, don't have a well paying job, paying taxes and dozens of other

responsibilities.

I love Christmas, but mainly it's because my kids get so excited.

I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah...that's a big part of my enjoyment as well, I clown ( ) around with my kids a bit about celebrating Festivus instead of Christmas...but I really love how they enjoy the season, and not just the presents aspect of it..they get giddy watching the old Christmas specials I enjoyed as a kid, they love helping me cook Christmas dinner...going to see all the decorations...everything.
Perhaps I'm living vicariously just a bit...but my kids really bring the fun of Christmas out in me.

Just another working day out here in the desert.

I did however manage to score an xmas tree on the black market.
My wife is very happy about it.

Well, I woke up to see that it had snowed today, so now I am getting exited about the Christmas season. Sadly, It's still a week or two until we look at starting things, so I guess I've got to wait a bit.
