Black Swan, is going to reign as my favorite movie for a long long time. Portman is an amazing actress, Aronofsky is an amazing director, that combination is beautiful to watch. I'm in debt up to my eyeballs and bought that without blinking when I happened to see it on the shelf.

Repo! The Genetic Opera, is a fun film, and a musical directed by Darren Bousman. It's meant to be enjoyed and smiled at, not critically analyzed and picked apart. It delivers if in a strange way.

Fight Club, the storytelling and narration of the film is it's strongest selling point. Helena Bonham Carter's is an amazing actress and her performance is strong in every scene she's in. Edward Norton regularly impressess as well. Nothing special from Pitt in this film, he's good.

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, the movie, you may have read the book by the same name. Written by Tucker Max and Nils Parker it's thick with smart jokes and sharp dialogue. It's based on a true story, unfortunately. Highly recommended if you like to laugh and enjoy smart comedy. Makes a great party drinking game, drink any time you laugh.

Pursuit of Happiness and/or Seven Pounds, really showcase Will Smith's ability as an actor. In both of these films he carrys the film largely just on his shoulders and does so phenomenally. Though in both films I find the plot to be a little thin at times his performace is excellent. I'm a big fan of his, even in Wild Wild West and Independance day. He makes it happen, even if he doesn't have much to work with. Hancock and I Am Legend are also good examples of him doing a lot with little. If made to choose Pursuit of Happiness is amazing.

"I drive a big car, cuz I'm a big star. I'll make a big rock-and-roll hit." "I am a big car, and I'm a strip bar. Some call it fake, I call it good-as-it-gets."

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

Man, I loathed I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell.

Mainly because so many people in my age group decided to make Tucker Max some sort of role model.

I first heard about that guy off a bloke who is friends with the missus, basically he is a friend of her roommates boyfriend as we socialise occasionally when Im stateside, he knows him in some respect, but my missus said TM is basically famous for being a douchebag, so I looked him up and the bloke basically sounds like a tit.

He isn't very funny either, and I'm stunned as to his popularity.

Although, I suppose you can say that about every single "internet celebrity"

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

Agreed.

I know that "funny" is a very subjective term, but the whole "Get attention from people by acting like a complete and total dildo" gimmick is annoying.
