We've had this before.  @ZOMBIE CAT - the Lesser Daemon's must enter by deep strike, yet due to there being no icons they cannot, thus being auto-destroyed.

I think that the assumption is that the unit is already in play or has the ability to enter play. So saying that there's no icon shouldn't matter because it should rely only on the stats and points of the unit in question and not outside forces.
