The Conquerer

Waiting for my shill money from Spiral Arm Studios

The game varies between 2 areas of balance.

1750-1850 is the sweet spot for list building. Its where your ability to manage your points is very important and its very tactical.

2k+ gets into the purely tactical side of the game. List building doesn't matter as much because everyone can get the goodies you need, the question is if you can use them better then the other guy accross the table. This is the truly ruthless zone of 40k, its where you take the lessons learned in the smaller range and crank it up.

less then 1000 points, and the game really breaks down because certain armies just can't fuction and others are waaaaay too powerful. Orks at this level are godly and marines kinda fail. Tau can't get the suits in proper numbers because they are limited by their need to take crummy troops choices...

1750-1850 is where just about any army can compete and do well.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.
