Well the OP said TROOP CHOICES only. So Tau are fethed.

FW would run out of ammo eventually and get owned in H2H.

I thought about Kroot but they would eventually just get overwhelmed. Their I sucks and once the first one started to eat a 'dead' zombie, it's all over.

Now, if we could be allowed to know that the next Tau codex could have XV8s as troops then I would go with:

3x XV8
TL Flamers and Burst Cannons
Team Leader Shas'vre with bonding knife and Target Lock.

I would choose ten eldar guardians with scatter laser. Or ten storm guardians 2 wit fusion guns. No warlock for either squad.

I'm confused.

Aren't there already rules for zombies? In apocalypes?

Zombies happen all the time in the 40k universe. Nurgle? The plague of unbelief?

Even the Sons of Horus fight zombies in the HH series.

Which zombies are we talking about anyway? Meteor zombies? Magic? Infected?

Do they run? Do they hear? See? Smell?

I'm not trying to shoot the idea down. I just need more info for my opinion.

Five horrors

Pink Horrors split into two Blue Horrors when they die. And (much like other Lesser Tzeentch daemons) are hard to injure unless you cut them in half, because any limbs will grow back/ move somewhere else/ect. It's almost like fighting regenerating Playdoh.

5 Dire Avengers with an Exarch who has Dual Avenger Shuriken Catapults and Bladestorm.

They would cut down a ridicoulus number of zombies, and if the odds seem to heavy, they can Bladestorm and then go into H2H if necessary.

Death Korps of Krieg: 7000p

5 CSM's with the MoK, wielding bolt pistol and chainsword, + Aspiring Champ. I make that 21 attacks on the charge? Bring on the zombie horde!

The obvious choice would of course be Inquisitor Coteaz. He makes henchmen troops with the minimal squad size of 1.

so Coteaz + Warrior Acolyte = 104pts of awesomesauce for two people. They both have 3-4 BS and WS, 3 or 4 Initiative, 4 str and so on. And since there are two of them with no ranged dmg to speak of (a lasgun and a bird who needs to claw/bite the zombies <- awesome infinite "ammo" and a good flashlight)

They have good CC weapons in the form of a deamon hammer and a chainsword so they would totally be fine versus an unending horde of the undead.

Also, both of them are just regular men so even though they would easily tire when swinging heavy weapons, they are small enough to fit though tight spaces if they strip naked.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

OP forgot the HQ unit, so make it 10 'ard sluggas with a warphead. 1 in 6 chance of teleporting directly to the objective and bypassing the zombies entirely on first contact. Seems like an easy mission to me.

I'm operating under the assumption that the zombies are around equal to L4D. Every once in a while a tank/hunter or something equally deadly pops up, but if you take Zoggy instead of a regular warphead TAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK!!!!!!!!!!! turns into SQUUUUUUUUUUUUIG!!!!!!!!!!!

Actual conversation from my stats class-
Student: Why is the denominator on that equation n-1?
Prof: n is very good, but n-1 is also very good.

GENERATION 5: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.
