I came to see a global nerf to all Bolter weapons and Bolter Pistols...disappointment washed over me like a wave.

High five? Anyone? No?

You all realize that the concept of "nerfing" something actually comes from Nerf guns, right? It's not really a clever pun when you forcibly use the reference full circle.

Ive always wanted to do somthing like this. Me and my bro had a fairly developed plan to make an airsoft lasgun but sadly had to shelve the project.

With these guns, I want to like them but I dont. They are awesome, but for the price tag there are a few niggles.. like why are there angles in the mags instead of a nice curve?

Most full size 40k weapons suffer from the same issue- the realism just isnt quite high enough..

Nice to look at though.. and would be awesome in a nurf fight!

Not true. 'Nerfing' something means to make something not as strong or useful as originally perceived. It was a term used by the opponent of incumbent Pittsburgh mayor Harold Nerfowitz in the late 80's during a heated election campaign, to describe his cuts to the city school system- specifically the food and bus transportation programs. Opponents of the mayor would criticize him by saying he was 'nerfing' the current programs that were already in place. The fact that it is also the name of a brand of foam weapons is pure coincidence.

They're pretty cool, though pretty (too) pricey....

"To weaken or make less dangerous. Taken from the "Nerf" brand name, which makes sports equipment toys out of a soft foam (e.g., the Nerf football is soft foam rather than the hard leather of a real football). Used frequently in the context of computer game balance changes. "

If I was rich Id order several of both. However, being as I am poor, I can find far better use for that kinda cash.

Does look like excellent work though...
