Why sexualised this entire thread? There is no reason to write MILF (Mother I'd like to Feth), and then pick up some one for being rude, MILF despite many peoples affectionate feelings IS A DEROGATORY TERM. It objectifies women, all this doesn't bother me at all because a certain level of good natured joshing and banter helps to keep the Forums interesting.

What does bother me however, is using a derogatory term and then expecting everyone else to be paragon's of virtue. What you have basically done is shouted at the top of your lungs "Open Season" on disparaging comments about your partner. Why do that? You even encouraged it by putting up a Photo of her? Does she know you did that?

If you don't want people to comment, don't raise the issue. This thread would have just been a "Look what my wife painted, pretty neat huh?".

Yeah all of a sudden a ploy in market turned into flaming. I am really proud of her painting skills. Especially since she is teaching me techniques I never would have tried on my own. She is currently working on a Nightbringer for a local customer, that is already looking incredible.

Warhamster, I think that the only flaming here has to do with you "defending" yourself by claiming you "earned" the right to be rude and by insulting "nerds." Before that others just disagreed with your word choices.

Surely you can see how some people would take offense to using MILF, since they explained it to you? And if you cannot see that, surely you can reply without insulting a group of people or claiming you have special privileges? You started off good by saying you didn't mean to offend, unfortunately the rest of that post contained offensive things.
