I always ran LR with Hull Lascannon and H bolter Sponsons. if the Battle Cannon gets killed I moved the russ forward fireing the Las till I need to stop and then sat and fired all the weapons. With the LRD Las and Plasma Cannons rocks, it the enemy stays out of 24" good fire to plasmas (much better now) and the Las cannon at all AP2.......oh your plauges have FNP....sorry AP2.

yeah, that seems to be happening alot recently.

Probably due to this forum's search engine. It always seems to display the earliest results first, which is pretty annoying...

This has been dealt with before or in fact after this thread.

It is odd that people will be complaining about three heavy bolters before 5th edition, back thwen thetre were valid reasons to take the heavy bolters due to defensive weapons and rolling for partials.

Now however the favour is definately shining on the sole battlecannon and minimum hull weaponry.

Saying that even now i would not make a Russ without sponsons, damn the odds, the Tank looks so much better with than without. To me that clinches the argument.
