The first post is quoting a summary by Harry. It is still there on Warseer in this form. I won't manipulate quotes. A.o. because some rumours attributed to ghost21 are also linked to rumours by others, changing the context in uncontrolled ways. I make an update, when Harry makes one.

Some rumours posted by Darnok over at Warseer, send by an anonymous source:

The next most complete project was empire. The book was done, all of the box art for new minis was done so it's imminent. On the new stuff, I saw 2 plastic kits. 1 is a war altar combo kit with a wizardy casting platform thing which had lots of globes almost like a celestial model. The second was Griffin, which to be honest is a bit of a let down. It's big, Manticore sized, and looks almost like an update of the Deathclaw mini only a bit more static, oddly it was painted a deep ruddy brown.

That big Cannon rumour was knocked back by hastings very soon after it was posted. (it is there in that first post).

After the "shock" of the rumourmongers (specialy in 40k, tau, BT, etc...)
I'm sad because i dont read more info about The empire, which is suposed to be the next WHFB army to come out.

I assume some rumours will not become true(rumour=/=facts) but is surprising not to read something more about the next WFB Army 2 months before its release.

Has there been any change?

Some existing Empire models show the "This Product launches on the 7th April" tag. This is strong evidence that the Empire army book will indeed be released in April as rumours predict.

Definitely paints a picture that way, doesn't it?

Strange though that the Knights and Archers are the only two marked as such, considering the Archers have nothing which would require a recut, etc.
The Knights did have their box changed from the "art" to the "models" around the same time as the Archers I think so maybe it's just an error?

The Hero on Griffon/Karl Franz on Deathclaw plastic kit wouldn't be the first time that GW has released a special character in a multi-part plastic kit. The most recent incarnation of the Land Speeder version of the Master of the Ravenwing is created from a plastic kit.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the newest plastic DE dragon set up so one of the riders can be built as Malekith, the Witch King? I feel like I read that somewhere...

Besides Fantasy has THREE elf armies and just two human ones so I don't think another human army would be so bad. Elfs get enough love.

Would be fun if Cathay wasnt a human army. There are some descriptions of an Cathay army in Tamurkhan

I am excited to see the different priests and would love bits for other knightly orders

As of today, the Empire Army Book and Empire Battalion are out of the US Trade Sales system, and can't be ordered.

Make of that what you will, since I don't think they have been taken off the GW website.

Just like I believe any rumor that gives Space Marines "moooooare"... I believe the same for Empire. Why?-because they don't need it.

I need to snatch up more 6th edition infantry for this upcoming release! Hopefully this round of new models will be better sculpts than the monkey brigade of 7th edition.

Priestess of Myrmidia would make me a happy, happy cat. I've been working on a Myrmidia themed army for the better part of a decade. Now maybe I have a reason to do more then a few halbardier test paints

Don't know about the battalion? ... but there are a couple of blisters (The plastic characters I mentioned in the first post?) and a boat load of finecast on top of this.

I'm liking most of these rumours. Not sure about the religion bent, hard to picture how that'll work. But mostly positive rumours.

Knights are still available though, which suggests no recut of the sprue

They may just be removing the army book to stop people wasting money on something obsolete, figures may still be changed but the old ones would still be useful to people.
