Bachmann has been winning elections since 2000. She's going to win again this year. Let's look at the facts.
Minnesota is a blue state, but it's light blue with an average Cook Partisan Voting Index of D+2. The metropolitan areas are blue with the 4th district having a Cook Partisan Voting Index of D+13, and the 5th district having a Cook Partisan Voting Index of D+23. The rural areas are pretty conservative , especially when it comes to being socially conservative averaging out the Cook Partisan Voting Index to D+2
Bachmann's district the 6th is the most conservative district in the state of Minnesota with a Cook Partisan Voting Index of R + 7. The 6th was redistricted red after the 2000 census, and no Democrat has won there since it was redistricted there after the 2000 census. Bachmann's district is gerrymandered red, was not redistricted after the 2010 census, and the Democrats in her district tend to be socially conservative blue dogs.

Those are the facts, and while I would personally like to see her lose her election this year it's not going to happen. Denial of the facts when it comes to electability of a candidate is best left to the Florida Republicans as they vote for Newt next Tuesday.
