If Paypal won't help you, charge back your debit or credit card.

Call your bank or credit card company and file a fraud report on the charge. They will refund your account.

Just wanted to let everyone know that paypal did refund my money 10 days after I filed my dispute/claim.

I have a feeling that all claims will get their money back, since that is the default if the seller doesn't respond to the paypal notice. As the notice is sent via email, and his email is defunct, he will not receive the notice, thus will not respond, and therefore monies will be returned.

Update: PayPal has ruled the claim in my favour, and my money will be refunded. It should take 5 days... if adameast has sufficient funds associated with his account.

So as of today, I received my money back via PayPal, and adameast did nothing more than waste my time.

Has everyone received the refund from paypal?

If so, adameast should be banned.

Good news guys, I got my paypal refund back today.

On a further note, while this has wasted my time for a month, I ended up picking a Assault Squad up for £13.50 from ebay so ended up saving money in the long run.

I also agree that this user should be banned.

Generally, that is the case- definitely so when a user has: 1) Not fulfilled trades with multiple people 2) Not responded in a transaction report in any fashion when given a chance to defend themselves 3) Has continued posting on the site in other forms (and thus has definitely seen what is going on- there have been cases of medical issues that have made things look to be off-kilter, when there were legitimate reasons... although this has been rare).

"3" is not a definite requirement, however, as if the person is incapacitated, they can email to have their account reopened if sufficient reason is given.

However, we generally try to leave the account intact until transaction reports are resolved, or at the very least until we are sure that everyone has means of communicating with the person outside of Dakka (as once suspended, a person cannot access their PMs).

In this case, as people have said his email is defunct, that could be an issue... that said, it seems that enough information is known about this person that alternate contact means could be shared via PM, and so his being able to access Dakka will not be necessary for much longer.

I just wanted to address that generally- if people have more questions about the general policy, please PM me. Also, normally disciplinary action about another member is not discussed publicly- I tend to make exceptions in these cases since, if there are still parties awaiting resolution, they need to know when the user no longer has access to Dakka, so they can contact them via other means.
