You know you're actually right here. I can sit and be completely riveted by a 5 day cricket test match. I guess my problem was that even in a cricket match something is always going on, even if it's not much. More time in the NFL seems to be spent not playing than actually playing. It'd be like if they swapped ends at the end of every point in a game of tennis (the only other sport I can really watch with any interest).
I thought it was a pretty exciting game. But you're right that more time in Football is spent not playing than actual playing. Most games have 1 hour of clock time but last about 3 hours.
I am and always will be a Patriots fan but the Giants deserved to win. We were outplayed and made silly mistakes that really cost us. Aw well, bring on next season!
I think if Gronkowski wasn't injured and if thw other WR (Name escapes me) had made the catch in that Penultimate play they game could easly of swung to the Pats: but all in all a good game with the best time winning in the end.

I believe it was Hernandez on the other end of that play. Branch and Welker didn't help matters, but I have to say that if they hadn't been down 2 additional points from that safety they could have won with a field goal.
Brady screwed the pooch on this one.

It was welker that missed the play I talked about: Hernandez missed the Hail Mary at the end. If Welker had made that catch it would of taken Patriots to a 1st down and 1st&10 at roughly the Giants 20-25 and set up a much easier play than the one they had to attempt.

Ah, I see what you mean.
The wheels really came off at the end of that game.

I thought it was a good game, team I was cheering for won and it was the first Superbowl I have watched now I have started to understand and like the game.
Bruins fan till the end.
