Back to my beloved Praetorian Guard. I settled on a theme patterned on Russian infantry during the Napoleonic war. Here are the first 5.

Ok, I started playing with the green again. This time subdued instead of bright. I am leaning towards the guy with the gray base. All the colors are kind of earth tones. The guy with the white looks good, but not right somehow.

Green & Khaki pre WW1 is nice! it also gives WW1 historical looks to Praetorians

The colors look great together. It´s just that these guys look so clean that the metal of the guns probably needs to be more shiny! If they manage to Keep there uniforms so clean during battle then they will probably polish there guns to the state of a mirror.

@Lone Cat- Thanks, but I was going for a more European army feel. You know, ranks of infantry, bright uniforms, that sort of thing. Hope you like the brighter green and white pants!

@Mirko- Thanks, glad you like them. As for the guns, I have to go with the darker, subdued colors. The infantryman in me won't allow anything else.

So the original army on page 1 was sold off a couple years ago. It went to a far better home. Here is the army I have now, or at least the first part of it. Since the new codex is coming out next month I am just gonna paint and worry about units later.

These are looking good. Like the green look. My Praetorian squad is going to be the normal looking Praetorain scheme, alas. But my Mordian squad will be slightly different. Not to mention my masses of Valhallans.
