Having mortars, shrecks, and fausts is nice. While I love the PSC figures, having to assemble 15mm infantry is less than desirable, and you don't (currently) get any of the special weapons.

I'm also going to take a awhile guess that the 15mm will be scaled down one peace versions of the 28mm sculpts. Remember that WGF sculpts everything in 3D modleing programs now. Lower the detail on the 28mm sculpts and you now have 15mm.

Well that guy looks like a reject from Shrek. And frankly with the poor quality of WGF miniatures there probably won't be much of a need to lower the detail when going from 28mm to 15mm.

I'm curious to see the sprues for the 28mm US troops. So far they appear to have beaten Warlord and Plastic Soldier Company to the punch on this.

Well mind as well post them here. They crammed a lot of weapons, because thats the only weapon sprue you get per set. There are going to be quite a few kneelers/Ammo belt dudes though

Seems to be the same ol softy details wgf is known for. I guess the real test is how would they compare to Warlord

I'd like to see them painted up. A couple poses look wonky but not horrid. I might pick up a box to do some cheap ww2 skirmish so long as the americans look ok.

I don't do 28mm WW2, but might they not make for a nice supplement to those greatcoat chaps?

It's the jaunty angle they are wearing them at I think.

But who wouldn't be happy goose stepping their way across Europe crushing lesser beings beneath their jackboots?

The 28mm models look far better than their box art which was hideous. I may have to aquire a box when the come out. These look to be more of a early to mid war uniform when compared to Warlord's Bolt Action offerings.

I agree, the helmets are off. Always a problem in these kits because it is such an identifying element. That said, they look solid. A few odd pose issues such as the rocking back MP40 pose guarantees no hits (you generally lean forward to offset recoil and avoid getting knocked on your ass or dropping the weapon). Pouches are not sized properly and the molded ammo belt is a limiter. But overall not bad at all. I wish they had put field cap heads in as the faces look pretty good and it looks like the only caps are NCO caps and peaked officer caps Interestingly, it looks like some of the torsos may have hooded ponchos on and particularly suitable for Waffen units..

I really don't see why people make fun of and insult the boxes so much; the boxes are hideous, but they aren't the product itself.
Likewise, I don't see why WGF keeps making those hideous boxes. Just go the path of all other companies, hire a painter, and photograph an image of the product itself for the cover.

Those 28mm Germans are actually pretty good.

Those actually turned out pretty good, and the detail, to my eyes, looks about as good as my Warlord Plastic Germans. I wonder how they size up, though? If they match the WF historicals they'd be very, very useful for turned Orcs into post-apocalyptic mutants, or giving Romans machineguns.

Yeah, I think these are very good, even by non-WG standards. I like that they have separate bases

Because most people will look at the box and walk on by- the "at a glance" information it give the buyer is horrible. The product inside gets an instant negative connotation. Not something you want. That art needs to be replaced asap.

This is probably the nicest WGF product I've seen, hideous box art aside.

This is indeed their best looking product so far but it will need to be good because the Bolt Action germans are both cheap and of quality.
They should change the boxart to a simple historical photo, that horrendous 3d is only going to hurt them.

The 15mm ones are available for shipping now. They haven't changed the sprue as far as I can see, so there is still the "Firing Squad" on there.

Gotta love how the german soldier looks like a constipated midget with a machine gun.

That said, the actual models don't look nearly as bad as you think they would. Several of the stores near where I live carry WF, and their greatcoat troopers are very popular for IG conversions. I can see these guys catching on for people wanting to make cheap armies for friendly armies or just for modeling/skirmishes in general. Yeah they aren't amazing, but compared to that box art, anything would look amazing.

Maybe that's why they made the art so bad? If the box looks hideous, anything inside is going to look like Forgeworld in comparison

That boxart = Hilarity Ensuing!

His brawny Fists and seemingly razor sharp teeth make it for me.

The models look surprisingly good, even if the Helmets look like Bellends.............

Oh yes. Darrell. HE is the reason I initially hated Beasts of War. He's rather intolerable. His accent doesn't bother me, but his know-it-all attitude and constant ignorance just bothers me.

Warren's constant excitement and Andy's professionalism usually make up for this though. Usually.

Im actually really surprised by the quality of these, they look like a massive step up over Wargames factory's previous releases.

But that box art is just the epitome of awful, at first i thought somebody had to be playing a joke but then i saw it featured over on their official website...
