I love it-I started a thread about it recently, it's probably on page 2. I highly recommend it IF you've played Snowblind's games before (Baldur's Gate dark alliance 1&2, Champions of Norrath 1&2, Justice League Heroes). It builds on the positives of its old games, and does it in a
LOTR setting. If you particularly didn't like CoN, might as well skip it, but I thought it was great. It has similar characters to BG though: dwarf fighter, elven spellcaster, human dunedain. I think the human is best, and the game is definitely built for
CC, but you can get some decent shooting off. You need to go through each level as each character to find everything (secrets are character specific), but you can play up to 3 player, 2 of which can be on the same console. It's not ridiculously hard, nor incredibly easy, and it lasted me about 16
hrs for a full playthrough, WITHOUT finding all the secrets-which is a perfect length of time to me.
YMMV. I suggest picking it up though, either by rental or purchase as it's now no more than $40 brand new, and you can find it around $20 used, I'd imagine. Through a weird sale going on at FYE, I got it for $17, brand new by buying Skyrim used at $50. Sale is no longer going on, so it won't help anyone else, but MAN was it an awesome deal-and I got it while the tag still said $60. To me it would be worth about $40, so $17 was a steal.
I'm very excited for BL2 though....
