You can't, it's one of the biggest problems I have with PP and the reason I never bothered getting into the fluff.

Yeah, Darth Stryker's such a hero.

May want to read the MkI fluff centered around his invasion of Sul. That'll disabuse you of that notion REAL quick.

Spoiler: Stryker's a total dick.

They closed his story arc with an act of redemption. So there's that.

Well, once, when at a game store, i was reading the old "pirates of the broken coast book". I have heard of Warmachine, but that was it. Later, my brother got into it and i sort of learned some of the rules. I was sort of interested, and i knew if i played i wanted to play "privateers" because i fell in love with the freebooter jack, the way it looked, then i noticed it could go 2 inches faster, and i noticed that Phinneus Shae could make it go a further 2 inches forward. So, i chose him with out really knowing how things worked, but I totally love his play style, and when i read it, his back story. He is till my favorite caster to play with.

Caster- eGaspy - loved the model and the "summoning" undead.
Lock - Thragosh and eThragosh(got them both the same day) I like Thragosh to build a beast list and epic version cause it was an awesome model.

The enemy of my enemy is a bastard so lets kill him too.

When I first got into playing Cryx I toyed around with many casters but I quickly fell under the sway of Lich Lord Terminus. He's a big frightening wrecking ball, in the very unsubtle way an earlier poster mentioned. I love his character and fluff. He may be a 'bad guy' but he's a loyalist to his cause and an astounding general and strategist.

I started playing back in MK1, a Press Ganger from a nearby Town wanted to run some Tourneys at my LGS. well he also ran some demo games as well. we ran a demo game and i played Khador BattleBox, he ran a battle box as well i think the cryx one. after experiencing Sorscha's Assassination abilities i fell in love with that russian Ice Queen. so Khador became my favorite. my first purchase was the Khador Battlebox. and later got the Winterguard Infantry. funny thing is i orignally was getting into 40k but i had only purchased a Chaos Lord lol. i proxied alot of casters and ran differently. funny thing is, the caster i didn't much like the appearance of is the one i enjoy the most lol pIrsuk is now my goto guy.

i am still indifferent on Hordes, i am expanding to Cygnar atm. however, Hordes is next ill be getting into after Cygnar. I am debating on Skorne, but they are alot like Khador from what i can tell. slow and powerful... if i run Hordes i want to run something that is different from Khador. i considered Gators but i think soemthing else to start playing would be a better option... Not touching Circle or Trollbloods lol...

I picked Cryx first because the artwork for Asphyxious in the rulebook is AMAZING. I ended up getting eAsphyxious first because that was all the store I won a 40k tournament had for Cryx stuff to use my store credit winnings on.

Technically, my first warcaster was the original Sorscha from the Mk. I Starter Set.

Currently, Kommandant Irusk is my go to 'caster, mostly 'cause he's a pretty solid 'caster and his fluff makes him quite the bad-ass.

I also have the plastic Sorscha (prettier model overall compared to the first, but smaller and the details aren't _quite_ as defined) and pButcher - mostly 'cause he's definitely a jack-heavy 'caster.

I was looking at 40k stuff, when either my FLGS 's press ganger or someone who plays enough to be one pretended to slam me over a few feet into the privateer press section. I laughed it off but still gave the blisters a look and some of them seemed pretty cool. Fast forward to later that night, looking around the privateer press website- I came across eFeora and was pretty much hooked on all things menoth.

This is a big pet peeve of mine. People who try to tell other people that the game/company they are playing is much better than the game you are playing and you should switch. Dont tell people they shouldn't be enjoying the game they like.

Honestly I was pigheaded and never gave Privateer Press a chance until this happened, so two wrongs canceled out and I saw the light.

HERESY! In all seriousness, I technically started with pKreoss, but he doesn't count since I got him in the two player battlebox. My 'real' first caster was pSevy, since EoM appeals to me so much as a spell.

I take a while and look things over a lot. At first I just saw the battleboxes, and really liked the Khador and Circle. Then with the talking to people and hanging out more doing the research I find that every other player was playing Khador, and of the rest more than half of them were going circle.

One day I was looking at the books, and hey..I can play a full on minions army. Cool, pigs or gators...love it. Took a look at the mercs book to see what they had.

Page 90...pirates. I'm one of the bigger pirate geeks you'll find so instant appeal. The models looked great, I liked the fluff, and their playstyle is perfect.

Now I'm slowly building up my Shae forces. Ok, not so slowly as about 35 points worth to get me to 50 is coming in this week

They're going to do a journeyman league at the FLGS next month, so I think it's time to start up a gator army as well. Gotta be the oddball, me.

I shall express myself to the fullest, regardless of state or local laws. -me-

My first was pStryker, but as soon as I fill out my cygnar list I intend to get Harkevich. There is just something awesome about a guy wielding a big mace and having a beard. Beards make everyone +1 in my book...exception being a woman.

Reznik for me. I looked over a few army books and the MkII rule book, but when I found the Cinerators I decided on Menoth. The closest looking caster to the Cinerators is Reznik. Turns out he is one of the trickier caster that Menoth has access to, but also takes a lot to get used to playing. Overall I like him the best even though I run some other casters from time to time.

Also starting up a Circle, eKeya army for the wolfs and the fact that the two factions not only but heads in fluff, but play completely differently!

Looking at the problem is different from solving it, though observation is a part of the process

Karchev for me. Despite the fact that I have, at several times, owned other khadoran warcasters, he is the only one I have ever used. Why you may ask? I ask you, why not? (seriously, my caster IS a warjack, what more could I ask for?)

I actually kind of regret it, much as I love him, collecting for him has made it difficult for me to branch out to other casters (since i mostly run warjacks with him, and my warjacks tend to be of the melee heavy variety), as I lack appropriate non-warjack models for it.

I bought the Cygnar book first, and chose my Warcaster according to the Tier options. When it came down to choosing between two, I went with what other players recommended.

My friend wanted me to play with him in a team tourney, and he plays Cygnar. As a painter, I liked the look of Hordes models better, but decided to play Warmachine first to understand the tactics.

I chose pCaine because I wanted the most gun-line army possible. Kara Sloan is slightly more gun-line, but Caine is more flexible. It really came down to the Tier options, I had to buy two boxes of 10 Long Gunners, which were expensive and I didn't need all of them, or two boxes of Arcane Gun Mages, which kick butt.

My friends and I all got into warmachine at the same time. One of them had chosen cygnar before the rest of us made up our minds. My other friend took menoth so, I chose Khador over cryx because I liked their fluff of having the biggest and hardest hitting sobs in the game.

Fast forward to me ordering the pSorscha variant sculpt and the pIrusk variant sculpt. (package deal on used models, got them both for less than 10$ shipped). Before they arrived at my house, I found a used and damaged karchev and behemoth combo for sale that I scored for 40$ shipped. They all arrived at my house at the same time.

I think my favorites are pButcher (he is basically my DnD 4th Edition barbarian) and pIrusk since he can handle anything. Both of them have some badass fluff.
