The objective is to win, the point is to have fun.

That's why we call it a game and not a professional sport.

I used to say that they were op.................. but then I saw this thread and ....."I am such an idiot"..... "I sound like a loser complaining about them! " "Now lets stop being a noob and pull back to chop them up when they are coming for me!" What is with the mentality that you have to move your forces forward when you are just starting out as a SM player.

When he played my Tyranids, it was pretty funny watching himtry his usual tactics against the bugs. His units dropped in, and got hammered by Warp Blasts, Impaler Cannons and Deathspitters, then got assaulted rather than did the assaulting, and got torn apart. His sergeants and commander, with power weapons, futilely swung their swords at my monstrous creatures to no avail, and in the end, lost without killing a single Tyranid unit.

Assaulting an army better than you at assault is a bad idea.

I remember an ork player who was like " you should be really scared because I am going to asualt your hive tyrant (it had LW,BS AND IA!), gestealers and hormogaunts!"
wiped out their entire force. oh good days.

For those whovians out there, I something planned.

Something big.

Bad players are bad...no real surprise there.

Tyranids are and will always be a newb hammering army. Basically they seem over powered to someone new to the game because their lists are un-optimized crap, and they are unfamiliar with all the units and how to deal with monstrous creatures. Once they tool up and go from 6 heavy/special weapons @1500 to like 25+, and learn the rules for assaulting through cover, multi-assault combat resolution, the power of mech lists and the vulnerabilities of the tyranids, they will proceed to laugh as they wreck you pretty much every time.

Look forward to enjoying that.
