Nope, Blade Parry is a special rule.

But if you're able to have a Vindicare, you're also able to Force Weapon him.

Would the vindi be able to ping wounds off him though? (don't know/play against GK yet >< Because if he does, softening him up is never a bad idea

I see no reason why he wouldn't. Exitus Rifles are AP1, so ignore his AS; the hardest choice is whether to wound him on a 2+ or try for causing 2 wounds but wound on a 4+.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

To take a Vindicare one must first be playing a GK army; the rest is kinda self-explanatory

Dealing with the Swarmlord isn't easy. You need to keep him out of CC for as long as possible. But even then, it's tough to break him down, as his Tyrant Guards supports him with a 4+ cover save. On the other hand, a player running the Swarmlord has, most likely, pumped 400 pts in him to make him resilient enough outside of CC.
Once in CC, you're looking at a unit that has WS9, T6 and gains a 4++ save, while having you re-roll yours.

I remember a previous game I had, where my buddy had a group of Honour Guards with a Libby jump the Swarmlord. 50 D6'es, and only 1 wound got through. He's one hell of a CC fighter. But if you cripple him down to only a few wounds left, he's easily dealt with.

OTOH, if you've spend too much time on the Swarmlord alone, you're still looking to deal with the rest of the army.

Lash can be quite risky; if you're in range to lash then you're also in range of Shadows in the Warp from the Swarmlord and taking a psychic test on 3D6 isn't as easy as it looks.

Lash is 24" range, you'll be 12" out of SitW.

Isnt swarmlords range for sitw 18"?

As far as vindicare hes works really well vs swarmlord but so do gk termies or pallys with a banner. :3
Banner lets you pass your psy test to activate your nfw. With psyk out I go first and get roughly 20ish attacks on a charge. Buh bye Mr. Super Bug.

20 assuming I have 5 dudes, banner, etc.

Nope; its Synapse range is increased to 18", but no such additions to SitW.

Lash wins games, especially against tyranids.

Beyond lash you have combi-preds, oblits, land raiders, blastmasters, and plasma/meltas. These are all great at either outright killing a swarmlord, or weakening it enough for a charge by daemon princes/berzerkers.
