That painting is amazing, I have to say I have a hard time looking at the color scheme, something in my brain tells me it's not right.

I have said this before on your models, Are you photo shopping them? Man you are to good. I can't wrap my head around how you are getting your models to look like that. I love the base more than the model. Sorry to say it but your bases are just awesome. Your painting is awesome, If i could have children, I would want them to be yours.

Wow! that is the strangest and most awesome Nid i've ever seen! The color scheme is one of the most original and definately the most unique out there. Well done.

When I saw the first pic I thought "Well come on, where are the pictures of the miniature you've painted and why are you showing us some computer generated mock up?". Your shading and highlighting is so crisp and precise that there are no indication that you've painted by hand. Bravo

Awesome job, However, I think you should have a go at another one and give it a green larvae sac. Just a thought.

Nard actually has a tutorial found here on how he paints his nids. Very old school indeed (pre-GW wash) and the black lines you see are actually the black undercoat that he left showing during his layered buildup.

you stuff always reminded me of a cell shaded computer game... i find it simply mind blowing how you have achieved this at such great detail...

have you ever tried this technique on any other races?.. id like to see your style on some IG vehicles (but not in pink lol)

Thanks for the link, I've been going mad trying to figure out how anyone could paint like this.

Edit: Having looked at the tutorial I still have no idea how I'd replicate it, my hands are nowhere near steady enough. It'd be interesting to see the technique tried on other races, eldar might be good... bright blue maybe?
