Vanilla is one of the most popular flavors in the world. Ice cream (or other dishes, for that matter) with a substantial amount of actual vanilla bean or extract can indeed be strongly flavored. That said, cheap vanilla cookies or ice cream are notoriously plain compared to even cheap chocolate.

Yes, Mannahnin, cheap vanilla cookies or ice cream are notoriously plain compared to even cheap chocolate.
So much in fact that you can not even taste the vanilla within said product.
So it is not the vanilla that is plain, but the lack thereof.

I present Ready Salted marines. Like vanilla marines but far far more awesome. These guys like totally pimp-slapped the swarmlord and made the avatar of khaine cry like a girl.
