Well accepted or not by RAW they do not work. Same with Flicker fields. One of these has a FAQ.
Now if you gave ork vehicles invulnerable saves then 2 of these things would need a FAQ.
Or you could use a preexisting FAQ to similar situation and use it which then we fall back to flickerfields FAQ and use that.

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.

Mr. S Baldrick wrote:I am definitely leaning to the side that you can take it now. The fact that there are already vehicles that have invul saves means that issue is kind of moot and vehicles can have them. Page 3 of the small rule books says:
“A unit will usually consist of several models that fight as a group, but it can be a single, very large or powerful model, such as a battle tank, a monstrous alien creature or lone hero.”
Grotsnik’s rule says “any unit”, so if you want argue RAW vehicles are units according to the rule book.
The FAQ explicitly says that vehicles are restricted from receiving cybork via grotznik. All of the FAQ is RAW, not just the answers. That, and implicit answers are still answers.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |

If someone on this thread refrences the shield of faith again am going to scream. The shield of faith explicitly says it applies a 6++ to any thing with the special rule. SoB vehicles say they have it. It would be a dead end, donothing special rule if it didnt apply. Grotz has neither explicitly said that it can apply to a vehicle, nor has the vehicle explicitly stated it can get the upgrade anywhere. The FAQ stands agains this argument and everyone who posts save for one person thinks that this is a rediculous claim. You have been given an answer by 90% of the posters that you dont like so I'm prety sure you are set on using it and no amount of argument will change your mind. We've given you an answer, what you do with it is your decision. This isin't flying in any game I play, I'll tell you that now.

Pretre: Are repressors assault vehicles? If they are, I'm gonna need emergency pants.
n0t_u: No, but six can shoot out of it. Other than that it's a Rhino with a Heavy Flamer thrown on if I remember correctly.
Pretre: Thanks! I guess my pants are safe and clean after all.

Vindicare-obsession, i am referencing SOB for the simple sake that they did not get a FAQ saying their Shield Of Faith works on their vehicles. Cause by RAW they do not.
FF has a FAQ saying that it does and it is doing the exact same thing as SoF.
The point i think your missing is when are you given permission to use SoF when concerning your vehicles.

Well the issue is moot for me now. My buddy that wanted to try it really only wanted to help keep his dread alive longer. He told me he read IA 8 and has decided to use a mega dread instead, it has higher armour and its own KFF. He said he would rather use FW than debate the issue at a store, I agree with him especially if he gets a better dread out of it.

As long as people at the store are fine with FW rules, I say go for it. Personally I like some of the FW models.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Yeah he borrowed IA 8 from me and thought it was a better idea asking people if it was OK to use FW than having to explain the Grotsnik debate in a store. Most of the people at our local GW are cool with FW, he should be ok. THe only problem now is he won't give me back my IA 8.
