There was actually a video with Conan O'Brian on the other night where he and Andy do some voiceover for Halo 4. This video was at the tail end of that. I'm sure a quick visit to Conan's site or google will yield the 9m ish video.

I for one am looking forward to Halo 4, as long as they get rid of armour lock im happy. I personally dont think we need the BR AND DMR but i dont have any huge objection. From what i heard on the multiplayer front on the whole im pleased, for once we all get an equal chance at power weapons. However 343 definitely has to put in some sort of system to prevent players who are killed immediately re-spawning and killing the player who just killed them before their shield has a chance to recharge.

It's a pity Halo 4 won't be on PC. And therefor I will never play it.

Gah, I hate Halo, but after reading this I think I'm going to have to pick up Anniversary at work and then practice for this.....

Well that really depends on the spawn system, but if you kill someone, chances are they won't be respawning right next to you (and by chances, I mean 1/1000; I've never had someone I just killed spawn NEXT to me)

Armor lock is confirmed gone.

It got too..... I don't know, I just lost interest in it. Hate is a bit of a strong word....

And that's a shame about Armor Lock. Stuff was easily countered, but people complained about it still....

The reason people complain about armour lock is not that its OP or difficult to counter but due to the fact it completely disturbs from the "flow" of the game. The amount of times ive seem like 3 or 4 on one guy, and the guy puts on armour lock in the middle of them, everybody just stands around and waits for the armour lock to finnish, rather than going after other targets. It caused my friend to stop playing halo.

There isn't even a need to do that; just throw a grenade at his feet and call it a day.

Exactly. I disagree with the whole "flow" thing, though. Every single complaint I've seen about armor lock is because it's OP or because it causes you to wait for your kill (which you can be killed in the time).

If you stop playing halo because of armor lock you clearly don't know what's going on. A lot of gametypes nowadays don't even have it.

If you use armour lock in conjunction with team mates it can be pretty damn good...

Aye, it's always fun to armorlock in front of someone, they think they have to stand in front of you for it to go off..... And then you watch your stealth buddy assassinate them.

Exactly.
Its also awesome when some one tries to splatter you with a ghost, and you armor lock at the last second.

I love doing that. Oh? What's that? I JUST PUNCHED A WARTHOG AND CAUSED IT TO BLOW UP!

Honestly the only playlists I used it for were the Vehicle Heavy ones.

It's effective sometimes when you use it on a map where the players are grenade-happy.

Was it part of the TU that AL will no longer repel stickies? It gets annoying in elite slayer.

That only works in the title update, and didn't work for the first year or so of release.

If armor lock had of been something like a parry, as in, it works for about 1/2 a second; to stop splatters, etc, I would have been more ok with that than what we have now: which is a pause button for its entire length pre-TU.

Waddayamean? I still do it and it works. You just have to time the grenade throw to make sure it explodes right when he comes out of AL.

This would have been a good idea...
Just before you get hit by a vehicle you can press a button to activate it...

Sure if you can wait 5 seconds before throwing a grenade at someone who is armor locking, good luck doing that against a team even marginally working together.

Armor lock is garbage in its TU form and its vanilla form; like I said, a parry would have been not as awful; but alas...

Even in TU I have to waste a grenade just to knock someone out of armor lock.
