It's gaming, not serious business. As long as they aren't having super long conversations that hold up the game for a significant amount of time, who cares if they are answering the occasional text or taking short calls?

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

Personally if i got a text during a game I would wait for a non-crucial moment to reply.

If it's a call I will ask to take it and ask the caller to call back in X amount of time (turn pending)

This of course goes out the window if its a real life emergency.

kronk wrote:Cell Phones: It's fine to have it and to check a message. Many gamers have wives and kids they need to keep in touch with. Just don't spend 30 minutes talking to your buddy John about a hockey game while I'm playing you, please.

Food and drink can be OK, but if your hands are or look messy, I won't hesitate to tell you to wash your hands. When I played the Star Wars CCG at game stores, I had to do this often.

All over

I will text durring a game. It's never to many texts or slowing the game down. I also take pictures. I don't pick up phone calls unless they call more then once then I pick up and say call you later I'm busy.

As for food don't eat in front of other people it's rude and honestly some gamers can be nasty. Also don't touch a persons models with nasty chicken figures lol

I once played a guy who argued with his girlfrend for 10 minutes then hung up on her. She called back and hung up on him so he called back and hung up for the last laugh. I was not amused but I found it funny that they where fighting over who was buying cat food or something.
