I'm just thinking, post-warband, Tom and Goldberry no longer have the rules which prevent them from leaving their home, which would mean that you can use them in any army, hence erasing the old tournament ban. Has there been a new one come out since then, or at least rules specific to the tournament setting, which prevent their use?
Also, could I, for a friendly list, use Goldberry, Tom and Dain? Or is there something stoping me? as on top of my current mordor list (which i still haven't had a chance to playest D i would quite like that due to its teeny model count.

In a friendly list there is nothing stopping you apart from your oppenant people might play itt not realising what they are getting into but you'll quickly run out of people to use the list against

In tournament though I have no idea (I've never played in one) but if they were banned ante-warbands I expect they still are post-warbands (irrespective of him now being able to run around outside of his playground )

well the latest tourney rules list (post-warbands) they were still disallowed.

I generally think though they are bad design. In WotR they're not too bad though as you don't really have control over Tom. You just put him at one corner and Goldberry in the opposite corner and he walks 2D6 inches towards her every turn and gets 1 free epic action a turn.
