You do realise that "Deploy" also includes disembarking.

lol, obviously you've never known the sweet sweet glory of wiping out an entire Command Squad in one round of shooting with these guys before.
(the D&D squad version, obviously. I won't go as far as to say regular Deathmarks "suck", but they're definitely lacking, compared to the awesome Deathstar-killing power that is an attached Harbinger of Despair abusing the Hunters From Hyperspace rule with his Abyssal Staff... well, that is, until 6th Edition comes along and "fixes" deep striking... SUDDENLY, DEATHMARK AND FLAYED ONE LISTS EVERYWHERE).

Yes, and this "deploy" has been faqed to work like movement. Although this isn't quite a precedent, it does provide an occasion where "deploy" means "movement". I am guessing the "deploy" on deep strike is another occasion.
