I guess the one positive is that he will be guaranteed to be a happy 40k hobbyist who will be playing for fun, making up his own rules, and enjoying the over all hobby without the internet destroying his expectations with net lists and tournament minded communities, sucking away his fun by slowly converting him from using "bad units" to "good units" with the pretense that "winning is the only fun you can have in 40k."
I envy him. He reminds me of me back in the 90's when I played 40k.
