I always do find it funny that there is a perceived hierarchy in the kingdom of Nerd.. ie, the previous poster who was made fun of by what were essentially D&D gamers... Sometimes this poking at each other is in good fun, but other times I'm like, "seriously, you think you're better than me just because you play something that I don't?"

It's only embarrassing if you're... embarrassed by it.

Whenever I play anything that involves dice (backgammon for example), when I have them banging around in my hands I shout "Dakka-Dakka-Dakka!" Most people have no idea what I'm talking about. I find it exhilarating
