Well, if the avatar images in a quote would be resized (and frozen if a gif), that would require an additional file download.

So, you'd increase server load by quoting someone. But, if that person was quoted again on the same page (including someone quoting you including the previous quote), there's effectively no increase.

I'd assume it would be disabled on mobile devices, that would make sense.

Yeh it'd have to be disabled on mobile devices for sure.

Having a separate disable function would be nice and all but i think it would make more sense, and be slightly less work, to attach it to the disable avatar function.
