I can see that being a bit of a pain to write out on a tiny scroll though, so maybe just some mindless drivel about apples and pears could be made to be menacing?

As for language, what about using some old alphabet like Cuneiform or Phoenician? It doesn't matter what it says as chaos power words are dangerous to read and even worse to pronounce.
