Come on, guys. Has nobody read Deff Skwadron? If an Ork is shot down he will use a grappling hook to rappel to an enemy plane and hijack it.

Excellent idea, but a Deffkopta would be better!

i like the idea of the d6 results table, but after his first shot/throw of bomb squig he should attempt to return to his table edge to get his new dakka jet as you suggested, also because he survived and got a new toy back it doesnt count as a kill point for the enemy. also when he is returning he cant shoot and can only run.

Would have to drop the deep strike in that case and stick to scatter, otherwise it will end up with him landing at the table edge and removing any of the downed pilot fun! Thats easily done though!

Deff Skwadron suggestions for inclusion would be good, but I can't fathom how I'd include the grappling hook, especially if the oppo doesn't have any flyers nearby!

If you want to give him something similar to the demo charge, say he rips the fuel tank out of the plane before it goes down. Or maybe his deffkopta/warbike ejection seat has it mounted underneath, allowing him to do a bit of a bombing run.

If I go down the mini-deffkopta route that will be a good addition to his ruleset. Also, i'd probably be able to incorporate super shootas into the fram and use a spare nose cowling as bits... oh the pain of having to make decisions for fun!

Well his dakka-jet is complete at least...

We'll see what the next week brings with regards to his mini!

What if instead of a rokkit pak, he flies around in a little pod like Dr.Wily in Mega Man?

Know very little about Mega Man...

Have completed the mini, ready for painting and he has a one pop jump pack.

I'll put a pic up and a rough data sheet in a few weeks.

I like it but i would like to add another proposition to the rules.

It's based on an old inferno comic excerpt in a white dwarf. It featured an ork that in about 85 flights sent 83 of his planes to the junkyard (numbers may be off but it gives an idea). when he would be in danger of crashing ect he would get under an another fighta and eject, crashing through the bottom of said fighta. He would then proceed to "comandeer" his new jet and throw the previous owner out of the cockpit.

Rulewise you could say that if the red barrun is would be shot down, you can instead remove a fighta in base to base contact with him, if none are available he is on foot as normal.

its an interesting idea... I think taking an enemy flyer would be even better though!
