I've had mine for around two to three years and its been perfectly fine. My brother got one a few months after it released and the disc drive is the only problem with it, so I think its a case of people being stupid and claiming its all problems with Microsoft. Sony isn't doing much better with the talk of locking games to an account preventing used games sales so I'll probably just get the next gen Xbox after 360 titles die down

Its also been my experience that folks have had more issues with them standing them upright, than having them on their side.

Especially regarding disc errors.

That's all talk, I doubt sony would make the move without microsoft doing so also.

It's designed to help the game companies who want that program implemented. I think it's probably just so they can sell the copyright on if somebody wants it.

Xbox 360 failure rate 23.7%, PS3 10%, Wii 2.7%

this is as it was from this year, so no cosole is perfect.

All im saying is that my Xbox's failed, then microshaft failed me with bad customer service, so it will take alot to make me trust them... as i said tis a shame as i liked my xbox
