Blog Entry 006

“From the skies!”

Hey everybody.
I’m starting to think that maybe I should stop apologising for “late updates” as they always seem to be late…
Hmm. Well anyway, here’s blog entry number 006! Almost one week down, leaving one to go before my 750 match and things are looking bleak indeed. However, I have tomorrow, Thursday and Sunday off in which to bounce back and get my backside in gear!

I’ve also been considering how to make these blog entries a bit more interesting for the readers, so starting tomorrow (as it’s the one week milestone) I’ll be adding a few extra bits each entry to add some flavour. I’ll be honest, I thought I’d lose interest on my project and this blog after a few days due to having a pretty short attention span, however that hasn’t been the case and I’ve been looking forward to every entry and every comment I get back.
I’d like to extend my thanks to everyone who has taken an interest in this project and although there’s only a few of you, I am genuinely thankful for your input, enthusiasm and support.

Now for an update!
Here’s the first of my Skyreaper Landspeeders (Please note the Green stuff isn't blended yet):

The twin-linked Heavy Bolter is just two Landspeeder Heavy Bolters filed and glued and will count as two separate Heavy Bolters for the sake of firing in combat, as the kit doesn’t provide an under slung variation. The smoke launcher and scanner system are just aesthetic additions to the build to add a little something.
I’m also considering adding the under slung Assault Cannon, but can’t decide if it’s worth the 40 PTS cost.
My general feeling is that adding a 40 PT upgrade with a Heavy 4 with Rending weapon might attract too much attention, whereas two Heavy Bolters at 10 PTS at Heavy 3 probably won’t seem too much of a threat. Something I hope to take advantage of with Snap Shots. Either way, it’s something to think about.

@Deadshot: Rawson also mentioned this in one of his posts. There’s probably going to be quite a bit of winged bits and such. It’s part of my Chapters fluff. At some point I’ll put ideas on paper and post them up! It might make more sense then.

@Philthesquid: I’m planning to at some point, however I can’t help but feel your inclination towards squids stems from something else… Huh.

Well, that’s a wrap. See you tomorrow!

Blog Entry 007

“Fall from Grace…”

Hey guys.

Sadly, progress is slow at best. I’ve been pretty distracted today, but I’ve managed to complete another Brother Marine and put some extra work into my Skyreaper. However, as development is lacking I’ve decided to change the update time-frames. Instead of giving a daily update, I’ve decided to do an update every 2-3 days with substantial content.
This way I give myself a bit of room to breathe.

Anyway, no pictures for today but watch this space as over the next few days I’ll try my best to show something worth posting about.

Peace out.
