Don't listen to the people telling you to keep it in plastic bags and metal boxes. Anything could happen to the thing: corrosion of the tin ruining your book, plastic bag decomposing and wrecking your book, upstairs bathroom springs a leak and ruins your book...

Your best bet is to flip it now and get rid of it to someone who would value having Number 1 in his collection. It'll be worthless in four years when 7th edition hits, and unless you're a book collector right now you'll probably feel regret for buying this. Sell it while the prices are good, and console yourself with buying a bunch of models and a new BRB that you otherwise wouldn't have been able to buy.

Pics or it didn't happen.

If you actually have it, sell for whatever you can get for it (About 10% more than its retail price I would imagine).
