Dunno, I guess between the boarding school, the sailing lessons and the skying club, my perception's been irremediably altered

Edit : alternatively, it might be that I'm losing my mind due to working night shift. On a slightly related note, Australians are really some of the most pleasant fellows I've ever talked to...

They look like they belong in some sort of 50s english drama. They would be called Fanny, George and Eustacius .

The fact that people waste money on this is irritating especially when there's more important stuff to sort out.

Olympics...

Waste of money...

Now it's irritating? What, it comes to you as a surprise that we didn't suspend the Olympics because of a recession that ended, what, a year + ago?

God forbid someone post a link about President Obama's vacation...

I gotta say those berets arent a good look but the rest of the outfit is quite spiffing. Certainly wont be the worst thing worn at the opening of the games.

That being said check out what the Aussies are wearing... It looks like we've just stepped of a golf association meeting for flight stewardesses or something. It could be that blazers are all the rage this Olympic season. AND to top it all off they choose Volleys as foot wear. Made me laugh.

Spoiler:

Actually now that i compare the uniforms for the Aussies and the Yanks it makes me laugh at how different our attitudes towards them are.

The Americans are all upright and clean shaven. Straight backed and proud to be in their unis.
The Australians? Hands in their pockets. Bored experessions on faces and creased pants. Couldnt be more informal and disinterested if we tried. Yep. That about sums it up for us.

Ugh, ugly ass knee-length pencil skirts...

I take it your not a fan? What was it? A bad bridesmaid dress? Ooh school uniform? Ahah ive got it! You used to be a fashion model but once had to wear a knee length penicl skirt which caused you to trip and break an ankle there by destroying your modelling carrer and turning you into a bitter twisted model hobbiest whos only recourse is to collect Sisters of battle or Deamonettes who you give delibritely crappy paintjobs so you can get back at them for mocking you with their sleek battle armour and ultra feminine ankles. Who was it that hurt you...?

You are right though. Ugly knee length pencil skirts. I mean look at the woman on the far left. She looks like she has a peice of white cardboard taped to here waist. TRUELY! Look how squared off her skirt is. Its abnormal i tells ya.

Euh... you do know who you're flame baiting, right? If not, let's just say you'd have a better time trying to convince the Bell of lost soul community that Eldargal should be banned...

A) Yes im well aware its Melissia.
B) My intention was not to flame bait. Also would you really call that flamebaiting? I also happen to agree with her. Those are ugly skirts.
C) I have no idea who Eldargal is.

A) Cool, then it's all on you
B) Seemed like flamebaiting. Wasn't so much offensive, but could certainly be construed as flamebaiting. And they are ugly skirts. Gotta wonder why they didn't cut them closer. I mean, tight clothes on athletic women... seems pretty self-explanatory.
C) Then you are lucky. Imagine if the entire Dakka community was at Melissia's beck and call simply because she's a girl, AND she abused it. In fact don't imagine it at all, it's just too sad and pathetic.

Just got to get one thing out of the way first.

I have never wanted a suit more than I now want the yellow and black suit that has been posted in this thread.

Now to the Team USA outfit, They look pretty spiffy, I was expecting a whole lot worse when I clicked the link.

The outfit worn by the fellow on the right was what I expecting Team USA's outfits were going to look like.

Hopefully they aren't planning to compete in these...

I'm not sure what the UK's formal outfit will be, so I dare not comment... yet.

Our uniform will be similar to the US and Aussie ones i.e. they're all and I mean every fricking country at this point wearing trousers/skirts with a blazer. Except the Africans and some Muslim countries for reasons best known to themselves will be wearing multi-coloured man-dress/toga things with optional Fez. (I can get on board with a Fez, not so much the man-dress/toga).

The Brits will be accessorising our trouser/blazer combos with Wellington Boots, Waders, Galoshes, Sou'westers, Duffle Coats, Woolly hats and travelling in canoes around the track. Certainly if the rest of July is anything like the start or all of June!

HAHA i'd pay good money to see the 100m sprinters race in a pair of wellies. I can also get behind anything involving a fez.

Well, you can't go wrong in a fez. Fez, nature's way of saying "Give me some Jack Daniels. Its time to turn this party up a notch."

A couple points about the outfit.

1. Of course they look like the preppy militia, they were designed by Ralph Lauren. Notice the huge POlo logo on the front.

2. They were all made in China.
