What's all this about? They've only just released him.

Maybe they are converting him to plastic/resin? Or was he a limited time release?

He was just released, cannot see him being discontinued already. Maybe ordered as only a special/ direct order piece, but not removed.

And yes, I have heard also from a reliable source that the tins are being removed, and the dice/ tokens will be in a clam/ blister pack.

I love the dice tins, they are something that really complements an army.

They discontinued the Italian costal guns, airplanes, (both of which are no longer available from BF with the discontinuation of the boxed set) and all their other boxed sets only a few months after their release with Hellfire and Back, so BF has done it before.

Very disappointed that the 6th AB Div. dice/ token set is sold out or not available at the places I purchase from.

I got the dice tin situation confirmed last week by my flgs. He's still got some in stock, so may have to pick up a Lehr and maybe a US armoured div tin.

Granted, you are getting 6 more tokens in the new (tin-less) gaming sets. 2x reorganizing, 2x non assaulting teams, and 2x at the double....which are useful with the new assault rules in 3rd ed. BUT, I don't think its a good trade off...the tin...(as the Dude would say)..."Really tied the room together." The tin made the set worth getting and made a really nice place to store all of the tokens and dice. Truthfully, I'd pay a little more to still get the tins with the gaming sets.

The horrible ugly truth is, you are gonna need more that 2x non-assaulting team tokens (and that's not the only tokens that are insufficient for a normal sized game (about 1500-2000pts) So, now we're in 50 bucks to get enough tokens (and way more dice than we'll ever need) for the average game.

The even uglier truth is, I will likely bite it and buy another set for the extra tokens anyway....maybe they will release "add on" token sets like they did for the tins in the past.

Almost all of the boxed sets that came out with Hellfire and Back were dropped in favor of blisters that have yet to appear in the line yet.

This is the only reason where making tournies BF figs only would have sucked. There are still many holes in the line of available figures that Battlefront needs to fill before they start trying to force people to only use their figs...
