You won't have to pay twice as much-try Hoard O Bits on ebay-they adjust the amounts you can buy, and you can get most of what you need for an additional $10 or so. Last I looked anyway-it's been a few months.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

It does look a bit of a pricey conversion unless you can pick up the bits cheaply, but the end result is amazing.

Land Raider next anyone!

In the middle of my double tracked vindicator with forge world rhino sides. Will post a pic of it after I finish modifying the dozer blade.

First small tank in my Luna Wolves army after my Fel Blade!

Great innovation and thank you for taking the time and effort to explain. A little late for my marines, not doing new rhinos again, but awesome sauce and appreciate you haring such a great technique: they look superb.

Love this, it's so simple in theory but the end results are really striking. Great technique, thanks for sharing this! I suspect we'll see quite a few double-wide tanks popping up because of this inspiration...

Really like this conversion, especially that vindicator.

May give this a bash with the eagle warriors I am planning, though a LR like this would be terrifying on the battlefield lol.

Giving me lots of ideas, though must not cut up the 2 LR I have for death wing force.

Halvare, what did you do with the dozen blade? Did you just cut n widen it or something else as I'm looking at doing summat similar.

Thanks :-)

Because it's now double tracked, you can't stick the arms on the side of the tank. So I cut the arm into 2 places, then with abit of blu tack and glue postioned them on the front.

As for the length of the blade, it just fits right, with no modifications to it (apart from the arms)

The arms will be later glued to blade later....

This is really awesome, no lie. I'd love to make some badass Rhinos for my more important units/characters, but as I'm cheap I'm torn between whether I should get one Rhino from my FLGS and one from a place like this or two Rhinos and just use the spare bits to make it extra heresy.

So, does anyone have any experience from buying from the Warstore? Would it be better/cheaper/faster to buy a barebones Rhino from them, or prowl Ebay until I can snag cheap side panels?
I'll probably end up getting Alpha Legion doors from FW either way.

When you get the sides fromo FW you get the rhino with it, so you will only need to buy the sides, top, and tracks from the bits store.

Halvare

Here is a picture from the front of the tank. As you can see the blade has not been modified other than the changes to the arms holding the blade.

As you can see there is only the exhausts that are showing...

Touch of the threadnomancy here.

I finally got round to doing this after a house move and golden demon entries

I butchered a cheap rhino I got from a friends kid and a vindicator kit I picked up for 20% off!

It has mostly gone together easily and just at point of putting the tracks on. I will get some pics up once I get new broadband and phone line installed tomorrow (Fingers crossed BT!)
