I can tell you the top 16 for the competitive sort (top bracket) in the GT, from my knowledge, looked like this

1. Tony Kopach - IG/SW, entirely foot, Njal inclusive
2. Nick Nanavati - Daemons ... screamer/flamer spam with plague bearer troops and winged dp + fatey
3. Jeremy Veysseire - Sisters of Battle w/ Celestine
4. Kurt Clauss - Hybrid flyer/wraith/scarab necron with light troops
5. Kyle Cox - Mech Guard w/ Nob Bikers
6. Ryan Deane - Eldar/DE, inclusive of 2 Talos and a Cronos
7. Neil Gilstrap - Pure ish flyer spam Necron w/ 18 wraiths
8. Aaron Aleong - GK/IG I believe
9. Logan Valentine - Paladins w/ Necrons
10. Eric Hoerger - Similar to Kurt's list (#4), inclusive of Zandrekh
11. Bill Souza - Mech guard
12. Jeremy Chamblee - Necron / Ork
13. Andy Kopach - GK/Necron with scythes and ravens
14. Rich Therkorn - Sisters w/ Celestine and I think some marine support
15. Pete Daze - SW, transport heavy, no flyers
16. Nick Caruso - Can't for the life of me remember

Pretty huge variety of list style in the top 16

15 isn't that Pierre Daze?

RavenGuard with Guard allies......

In the course of 6 games this weekend, I played 3...count them...3 turns of close combat.

But I will say I had a blast and hope to make it next year. Mike....any chance it can be moved up in August???? A lot of schools start that week....

Heheh...you got me there. I was 150th....but mine was all paint score hehehe

My one paintjudge was a condescending jerk. I know I didn't bring a top notch painted force, but his comments on the conversions and decalling were uncalled for. And just a side note, the Marine part of the army was one of the ones I've won best painted for....

My paint score was garbage..Which i fully expected. Also..I am debating doing battle reports from every game of mine from the Invitational and the GT. Worth it?

I say it is worth it Clauss, curious to see how your games went throughout the weekend, probably moreso with the Invitational than anything else as I got to see some of your GT games.

Haha, we met originally at the ATC, I was on that guy Andrew's team from Georgia.

Name was Daniel and I caught the while you were still playing as I wasn't cool enough for the top tables.

I saw the DE list with Talos/Chronos at one of the top tables... that was pretty cool . Also had reavers, right? (This was on Table 2 in Round 5)

Great to see so many people who did well posting here and I would love to see some battle reports.

Rich's Sisters were pure SoB. Jeremy's had some GK (I remember seeing a dreadknight, not sure what else he had) stuff in it and I know he had a bastion.

As for me.. looks like with my Necrons I grabbed 14th competitively / 9th overall in the invitational as well as 24th competitively / 18th overall for the open. Pretty darn happy with that for my first major GT appearance

Any chance we'd be able to see our exact paint scores so we can see what we can improve upon?

22nd overall in the Invitational. To be honest though, Pierre and I didn't really play the last game, we just messed around since we had already played a pickup game earlier that day, and we ended up just calling it partway through.

25th for competitive rating in the GT, I think I'm higher for overall but I'm not really sure how to work that out...

Edit: Just worked it out, 13th Overall for the GT That's quite a bit better than I was hoping for with my Space Wolves!

Psh well for the final round of the invitational I lost without killing a single model. Neil and I rolled off, he rolled a 6, I rolled a 1. I wanted to go home, he wanted to play blackmoor. So we shook hands and he got the win
May have tanked my score a bit in the invitational

Wow, what's the strategy with this list? It looks kind of like a 5th ed webway portal list... without the webway! This is Ryan Deane's who took 6th place, right?

I think so. The main through process of the lisf I believe is to have Maugan Ra tank for the Beasts as they walk across the field, Bastion has a quad gun with ignore cover and tank hunter so it is a pain in the dick. The Jetbikes are key due to he ridiculous amount of speed they have. He will hunker down near the board edge forcing you closer and in a single turn will cover the board.

This list is wild, I remember playing next to it and Neil Gilstrap complimenting the guy on how great of a player he was. It just looks so underpowered but apparently meshed. He did say the Cronos was gak.

Can you summarize your strategy with it, or maybe just one of the games to illustrate how it performs?

It's so different than anything I've seen touted as a possible successful DE/Eldar list on the net, that I am extremely curious

Wish I had had a real camera instead of a phone one, it looked really striking all together on the table, too!
