Plus rolling lots of dice always seems better to me than rolling lots of blast templates (especially small ones), because they don't loose value with less models in target, or spaced targets.
Also str4. If I'm shooting at infantry anyways. Its like a long-ranged boltgun squad for 50pts. That sounds a lot better than grenade launchers or snipers for the same points.

They arn't the bees knees, but come one... dont lop them into the same camp as grenade launchers.

It could be equivalent to 6 ork shoota boys firing at double the range with improved BS, for only a minimal cost increase (and thats if they're 5pts per model). And this is still a scoring unit that can give orders as well. I'd take em in friendly games at the very least.

Game changing? Not really. Fun? You bet!

Come on Ailaros, you know you want to show those orks that it's IG who have the best dakka...
