Actually, I found th ebenifits for adding the chap to an assaulting Termmie squad far out wieghed the points spent, but I guess thats a personal view on it.

We have strengths and weaknesses. Capitalize on your strengths, cover your weaknesses. At 2k points just LRC spam your opponent to death, thats what I say.

Just be damn sure to magnatise all your Termie arms!!!

I'd be willing to bet good money that if/when BT's get a new codex, those Termie squads will be brought into line with all the other loyalist versions, and thus require a full 10-men for the 2nd heavy weapon upgrade...
It would suck big time if you have to resort to actually ripping arms/bits off when that happens just to make them legal again. (look at what CSM players are going through with their Termies!)

Other than that, I know my one buddy who still runs his Templars loves his Typhoon speeders.

Only thing BT needs is a flyer (Assault Ram) and cheaper units. Maybe an Apothecary you can attach to a shooting squad that will negate RZ and keep them on objectives. The concept and skill list is fine, we just need more boots on the ground.
