"Darn, just locked myself out. Oh well, I'll just fire up my trusty Gravity Gun and ...." Rip the door out of the wall? Rip the roof off?
Portal gun version.
"Oh dear, locked out. Never mind, be right back." Portals through the wall, returns with keys and don't even have to re-lock the door as you leave!
But, how do you get the Portal inside the house?

The biggest indicator someone is a loser is them complaining about 3d printers or piracy. |

Portal Gun.
My girlfriend lives 45 minutes north of me, and my office is 40-50 minutes west of me(depending on traffic). So, using the Portal Gun would make my life waaaaay easier

I heard you could fire a portal through a portal. Failing that, through the letterbox or even a keyhole.

So... there's a portal inside the house already? Otherwise the portal you've just created doesn't link to anything. Pretty sure it wouldn't fire through a keyhole, although the letter box might work.
Gravity gun, though, pull keys through letterbox.

Doesn't the gravity gun require line of sight? Even if you could see the keys in a mirror, you'd just end up pulling the mirror off the wall.

It only works if the keys are visible from the letterbox, yeah. I could do it in my house, but it would require some serious angles. Serious angles.

And my quote into Conrad Turner's from the looks of it.
I guess I just prefer the benefit of never having to get up to get things again.
