Not sure if this helps but some cheaper (and in many cases better) manufacturers for 15mm stuff;

http://www.peterpig.co.uk/ - good white metal castings, good reputation

http://www.theplasticsoldiercompany.co.uk/ - excellent value, superior models to FOW however lack complete ranges/seem haphazard. 15 Shermans for for $72 (roughly) instead of 5 shermans for $58.

http://www.irregularminiatures.co.uk/ - not too good but have cheap infantry. Paint up well.

http://www.skytrex.com/151/15mm-command-decision/ - very good metal castings

I would avoid purchasing the FOW miniatures as their castings are not very good and often deformed/the AFV dimensions are wrong (just check out the British Matilda 1)

Hey everyone!

Just to give an update, I bought the Open Fire! set and built all the mini's. Haven't gotten time to play any games yet though. I will this weekend, however.

For the PSC 15mm Infantry, I know it was said they are multi-part but I find it almost a bit hard to believe. Do you mean multi-part like I have to glue arms on or just upper-body to lower body?

I cannot remeber as I usually get the 20mm ones, however there is a window on the boxes so you can see the models and there should be an example on the website. I shall have a check.

I found a picture of the German infantry instructions (sorry for size, only one available):

However, it seems only a few of the figures have multiple parts on each sprue:

Ahhhhh thank you so much for the pictures. Hahaha with my hands I can see a lot of irritation in my future ahahaha

Also, I noticed the BF Infantry and the PSC Infantry have a different "footprint" (for lack of a better word). Like the BF ones are circles to fit in their bases, while the PSC ones look more abstract. In the case, what kind of bases would I buy for them?

Ugh, more questions! Please bare with me!

Infantry are organized in teams, with just about everything I have seen being an Rifle/MG team. However, all the pictures I have seen in the rulebook for teams show them as TWO stands of Infantry. Like in the Open Fire! set, I saw the Germans in their squads have 2 rifle/MG teams but only 1 actually has an MG in the squad. So, is only 1 stand a team or do I need to have 2 stands together with 1 MG on a stand to be considered a rifle/MG team? I have seen it both ways and they never really were clear on WHAT makes up a team....

Sorry for the stupid questions! I just want to make sure im understanding it all right

For BAses,I prefer the new PSC 15mm bases.but you willl probably need to buy some BF infantry medium ones.As the psc kit for me does not have enough.

Alright, thanks for that! Anyone got an answer for the teams question? Another read of the rules tells me it's one stand but...I don't want to screw things up...

it's just one stand. For R/MG teams, instead of making you keep track which stand has the MG and which only has rifles, they just average it out.

MG stand - 3 shots
rifle stand - 1 shot

2x R/MG stands - 4 shots

So when putting the figures on the stands, just put riflemen on all of them and put a machine gunner here and there. For infantry squads, you usually only need to keep track of the command base, which is why it's on a small base.

Oh okay that's so much simpler than I made it out to be hahaha. So even though the stand has all riflemen on it, it still counts as a R/MG team? Alright, that's not too hard to remember.
