Rules stuff-
As discussed, of course no one can charge after Running in this edition. Since the two armies are deployed 24.000001" away from each other, a first turn charge is only possible if the enemy moves toward you.
I'm curious why the zombies never picked up the Relic? They should have been able to move into contact with it on turn 2, and held onto it for the rest of the game. Tank Shocks can't force you to drop it unless they make the model carrying it fall back or move more than 6".
