They bend to a point, but they will snap if bent TOO far. Just order the correct diameter and cut to length with a hobby knife or plastic cutters.

Ok cool and with those I just cut and measure to the length of rod I need right? Are they bendy? Be cool if I could do a multi color rod by intwhining them.

or you could just paint them... saves you a whole lot trouble and you can pretty much do whatever you want with them

Thread's a little old but I just found it so has anyone tried these as a replacement for the green plastic rods?

Also does anyone know of a guide to painting necrons in turquoise and copper like the ones pictured in the codex? I think its the Nihilakh Dynasty or something..

They look like they will work, but I havent' seen these used yet. Interesting find.

I'm pretty sure they put a guide to that color scheme in one of the White Dwarves this year. When I get home I'll check my collection.

for my necrons i used the clear blue plastruct rods, and painted over them with the clear blue tamiya acrylic paint, looks sweet with the black/blue/gunmetal scheme i have

Just because GW do them green or silver doesn't mean you have to.

Any two or three colours that work well together will make for a decent colour scheme.

e.g.
Red and Blue
Yellow and Green
Pink and Light Blue
White and Black
Pink and Green

@SilverMK2: Awesome colours.

@Bewareofthephil: Wow, that's one great paint job.

I paint my Necrons silver and black with green eyes and guns. But I certainly wouldn't hold it against you to paint your models however you want.

I did mine in a red with a gold dry brush very light on the plates and then bolt gun on the metal with heavy wash. Followed with the red getting a ard coat coating to give it the ceramic look
