I assume one can "tame" a nid, if he can block him from other nids, then it's mind is fragile and weak enough to be manipulated as any animal.
A single nid is not much when it comes to thinking, the super intellect of the hivemind comes from having unspeakable numbers of such minds.
Naturally it should be a self-sustaining nid though, a simple gaunt dies within a few days at best anyway.

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now. |

The last game f Deathwatch i played was about and techpreist getting bitten by a genestealer and turning into a hybrid. Since he was more machine than human he was able to kill the magos and assume control on the local genestealer cultwhich was of course promptly eradicated by the afore metioned kill team

It'd be kind of cool to have "tamed" or controlled in some way tyranids as allies and then every turn you make a rule where they have to roll and if it hits a certain number then the tyranid instantly turn and attack the nearest unit regardless of whether they started as allies or not. I may actually talk to my group and figure out some house rules to give that a shot.

Nids are not tameable unless you have a means of suppressing their programming and the influence of the hive mind.

Could never be done within the range of the Hive Mind's influence, and even outside of it the only way to get them to do anything they're not designed to do (they're more killing machines than animals, most don't even have digestive systems because they have no need for them) would be to physically alter them. Cut out the brain, and turn it into a Tyranid shaped robot, which is not at all taming them, it's just making Tyranid servitors.

Its because ordinance is still a word.
However, firing ordinance at someone isn't nearly as threatening as firing ordnance at someone.
Ordinance is a local law, or bill, or other form of legislation.
Ordnance is high caliber explosives.
No 'I' in ordnance.
Don't drown the enemy in legislation, drown them in explosives. |
