Both arts of paint applications are skills on its own right.

Airbrushing and brush painting both take immense skill when considering the apex of their respective fields, but for miniature painting? I'd break it down like so:

Brush = 10% skill, 10% equipment, 80% patience
Airbrush = 10% skill, 80% equipment, 10% patience

you obviously never held an airbrush before... sure you can just slap some paint on a mini and consider it painted with 10% skill but i dont think this is the case here...

I feel like this is a stupid poll because what is having more skill?? being able to use a tool everybody can use because there is like as easy as putting a brush into a pot of paint and then just pressing the furry end covered in paint against a random surface??
Its hard to learn how to use an airbrush, VERY hard!! Even if you take lessons from a pro it will take you a fair amount of time to do some fairly basic stuff with it.

and then again not one painter using an airbrush is able to finish a model without the use of a regular brush.

in my opinion who has more skill? the person using the airbrush because he has to master more tools and techniques!
