Gummy,
I don't have much to add...
4 units of troops is probably enough at 2k... I'd rather run more.
If you are running double-FOC, then I'd definatly use more Fast Attack choices. It is our strongest slot. Wraiths are just plain great, scarabs do a lot for board control, and destroyers can just wreck someone's day if played right.
I like Monoliths in this environment, but they just aren't killy enough... They make great slingshot units, but I don't think you need three of them. I'd drop down to two and run more spyders or annihilation barges.
I'm worried that you are overspending on the Royal Court... StormTeks are great at killing Vehicles... something we don't really need help with. You need to have more feet on the ground, so to speak.
Of course, you have to play with the models that you have, but if some extra money came my way I'd buy some more warriors, wraiths, spyders, and annihilation barges.

I was originally running 2 squads of three destroyers but I dropped them for other things I can't remember what also I moved this to a new area because after I did some recalculating I was pver by almost 50 points so I reworked the list

GumyBear,
You could help me out by listing what you have in your arsenal.

If I might add, it would also help to know whether you'd be allowed to proxy some things.

GumyBear,
I gotta be honest... I'm having a hard time building a list that I'm satisfied with using only the models you have. Part of it is that I don't have any experience running Monoliths.
I think that a SIlver-Tide list can work... 2 Monoliths, a Triarch Stalker, tons of warriors and scarabs... you just need to double the number of warriors you have. I also wouldn't worry about going for the double FOC... that benefits armies that have really points efficient units not us elite armies.
Here's a Silver-Tide List that I think might do well.
HQ
Vargard Obyron (160)
Elites
5x Lychguard w/Hyperphase Sword and Dispersion Shield (225)
Triarch Stalker w/ Twin-Linked Heavy Gauss Cannon (165)
Warriors
5x Warriors w/Nightscythe (165)
5x Warriors w/Nightscythe (165)
16x Warriors (208)

Fast Attack
8x Canoptek Scarabs (120)

Heavy Support
Monolith (200)

What is Obyron doing for that list?
With a couple of Nightscythes at your disposal, it would really pay to take an HQ (or two) that can open up Royal Courts.
I'd suggest Zahndrekh. Point for point, he's the most cost effective named HQ we have.
After that, throw a proxied Storm-tek in with each of those Nightscythes Warrior squads and you have some reliable anti-vehicle teams.
After that? ... I dunno, man. Lychguard? Stalker? Monoliths?
There just so many better ways to do things than using these models... but I guess the only thing you can do is hope your opponent isn't bringing a competitive army as well, so you at least wont get immediately stomped.

had a go at making a list out of the available models:
HQ - 335
Imotekh
2x stormtek
1x lord - warscythe, MSS
Elites - 150
Triarch Stalker - heatray
Troops - 642
warriors x19
warriors x5 - nightscythe
warriors x5 - nightscythe
warriors x5
Fast Attack - 390
Scarabs x10
destroyers x3
destroyers x3
Heavy Support - 490
Annihilation Barge - Tesla
Monolith
Monolith
2007 pts
midrange dominant army. relying on storm to hamper enemy long range alphastrikes + some free hits.
at least 1 monolith will start on the board most games, provides mobile cover for scarabs and triarch stalker to make it into range in one piece.
barge/nightscythe tesla + gauss can handle a wide variety of light armour/infantry. twin linking monolith blasts when possible to remove MEQ blobs. relying on nightscythes carrying stormteks and warriors to remove AV13/14.
lord is in there to provide some reliable wounds/take the challenge so the big warrior blob doesnt just get swept all the time. allows us to be more aggressive.
small 5man squad of warriors will get reserved and just hold a backfield objective while the rest of the army pushes forward.
weaknesses: nothing to really prevent assault powerhouse units going nuts. just going to have to shoot them to pieces or tarpit with the scarabs/warrior blob. triarch stalker is going to be a fire magnet - best hide him as long as possible in the shadow of a monolith. twinlink a target on the exposed side and take them out asap, shuffle him around to twinlink another. etc.

Obryon is there for giving the Lychguard Mobility. He really needs a strong counter-assault unit, and since he doesn't have any wraiths and a destroyer Lord..
Zahndrek is a good option, but once again with as many points as he has tied up in Monoliths and Nightscythes, he really needs to have more boots on the ground.
And I'm serious when I say this... when the codex dropped I way over spent on royal courts. Since going with HQ's that don't allow royal courts I have won all of my matches.
Besides... I'm making a list out of what he has or could quickly substitute (some immortals in for some of the warriors, etc)
