But at least we don't have all boats we got a cool looking Ika
I will stay away from the Dread till they fix it and then I go for it. I seen the thread on SG and there are some really good ideas in there to fix it.
I played a game yesterday against the Brits and I won it pretty easy I have to say. We played three rounds cause then we both had to go but it was great fun. He used his starter set and I made a list with the same points but slightly different.
I had to play with the Naks but I think that is for the last time cause the Tanukis must be coming this week. My Bb did pretty good, I deployed him on my right flank and let him move past a big rock and just blast away with turret, torpedo and rocket fire and he damaged the Brit BB and took out a Cruiser. So he did ok and my Tiny Flyers finished the BB off while my bombers were taking out the last two Cruisers.
Anyway it is a fun game and I learned a lot on how to play the EotBS. I was having a bit of trouble but you have to adapt every turn and that is there strongest point, they can adapt to any situation.

Eh wouldnt hold my breath, even though EotBS was one of the first 4 core factions theres only just now even a mention from the playtesters of MAYBE fixing the destroyer. Methinks a DN fix is a long time off, especially as we have the Ika so its not like we cant handle dreads for now.
Haha brits are usually a nice match up being the other faction to focus on "secondary" systems. They're a good one to practice frigate boarding on, the KoB BB is one of the worst boarders in the game
Aye its the give and take, the versatility is WHY EotBS are considered the second harshest in terms of learning curve, but if you pull it off its the most rewarding letting you do some pretty unpredictable gak

They finally got my order but only one Ika and not two. But atleast you get two models so I can still use two if I want.
Hope I can get them this wednesday cause monday and tuesday the shop is closed.
Anyway I will post them when they are done but I'm also going to move to another house so it will maybe take some time.

 Nice one
Since I am getting my Ika pretty soon I read about 'snaking'. Can you explain to me what it is since I can't find it anywere in the rulebook. Also if there is a passage about it in the rulebook can you maybe tell me were I can read it?
Thanx!

Its not a rule exactly, its just a naval military tactic. Basicaly rather than having, say, your frigates in a row
I I I I
you have them in a chain
I
I
I
I
Basic idea is that on the approach, rather than giving the enemy 4 targets to shoot at you give him 1(or force him to maneuver just to fire specifically at them) while the frigates are too far out to retaliate. Plus this way they dont block each others broadside arcs, so getting them along the side of say a BB or a gunship means its easier to get all your guns to bear. Alot of naval tactics actually work fairly well, I would recommend reading up on some like "crossing the T" if you have 5 minutes spare

Sounds good, I will take a look at it later today.
But they also say you can do snaking with the Ika and that way it can move further then 7 inch but you need to take tests or something like that.

Hm not heard that one i will admit, for a start 7" on a large is REALLY good already, and not many tests apply to it being Independent.

Ah could have been an exploit for the old rulebook, current is v1.1, the old one was as full of bad wording exploits as GW books are.

I finally got my stuff today so the games will become even better for me! Next week I probably gonna play a 700 point battle cause we dont have much time, 2 hours mostly.
I will be using my new models ofcourse :-D
I will be playing this list:
1x sokotsu
1x Ika
3x Tanuki
8x Uwatsu
Tiny flyers will be fighters or torpedo bombers what do you think?

Depends on your oponents fleet, against the french i have all but given up bothering with TTs, and just stick to TFs. Anything else though always go for TTs when you can. Looks a good list otherwise (good thing about this game is that 1 central list tends to become the norm for your play with only the occasional substitution for fun )
