Nice color scheme, neatly painted overal. If you want to go a step further do at least a 2-step extreme highlight to make the models "pop". As they stand they are kind of flat.
I dont know how much time you want to spend on getting them table ready, but I recon you can get them to a whole next level with minimum effort.
cheers!

Thanks for the comment! I was going for a realistic look and I truly think hard line highlighting will remove from the overall look. As stated previously, it's hard to capture those great blends from high to low with the light I have and with a 1/2 inch camera aperture. Extreme edge highlighting seems to only be prominent in the war gaming community. I agree it looks nice but I don't quite understand how it's realistic.
I don't think you need an edge highlight to prove a shadow or to help create a third dimension. Get creative with your blends, shades, washes and the edge isn't necessary in my opinion. Never seen this technique used in the scale world so I'm not really too fond of it; I think it makes most models look like Tron.

I too think extreme highlights wont help, they will look better on the table than on the photo (there will be better light source)
They look great, i just wish i will be able to paint just half as good some day
Only thing i would change are the helmets, i think white helmets would look better due to contrast with the purple, but thats just a thought.

Incredible work, gotta admire/appreciate skills with a "gun"
Outside of the fact I don't like the color purple on minis (not sure why, just don't like how they look)
Great job, shadings good, highlights good, FW's smexy.

Yup i definately understand what you mean. I tried to do without extreme edges as well. But dont forget. Most minatures are so detailed that the human eye needs some "help" to "read" a model at a glance. This is where a bit of "unrealistic" highlighting helps. Im not saying you need to do anything, im just saying what I would do Great work nonetheless!

Really fantastic stuff man. Purple can be a hit-or-miss scheme, but I think you really hit the right style. Those weapons really enhance the look.

The purple is amazing on these models - my wife now wants me to paint up some terminators that match these..
