They have some amazing sculptors, and they have some downright terrible ones... And whomever gets the "job" to sculpt the concept art could determine if the sight unseen model is amazing or goes right in the garbage like some of the dread all MVPs.
So who cares getting deep deep discounts on models when you risk many of them being terrible sculpts?
Combine that with QC issues from mold misalignment, bent models which need rehab and detail lost from "twisting" models off sprues, any modes you happen to like the sculpt may end up being damaged or need serious rehab.
I am super discouraged and not having the ability to "return my product for a refund" due to being defective is super discouraging and a drawback of Kickstarters.
I will have to wait for retail release for all future mantic models to first see if they are faithful renditions of the concept art, that the rush of the first wave isn't hurting production and that if the models suffer from flaws due to disassembly, mold issues or simply look bad in person, I have the ability to return and refund my money.
Live and learn... This is the risk of KIckstarter.
You didn't by chance start a thread or blog with pics regarding that, did you? Not because I think it's derailing but that a proper explanation (I'm intrigued about what happened) might be quite length and not entirely appropriate here.

Since we have a "concept art" of a teaser race for their product line which is due to be their next Kickstarter endeavor, I do feel discussing their track record of being able/notable to translate the art to real models is relevant. And any speculation on the next KS is also potentially relevant should this be a new year teaser of the upcoming KS which is expected to be soon. It appears as if mantic isn't going to do regular product releases outside a KS so the only way this will see a real model it seems is via a Kickstarter. If they are going to sculpt models and release them "without" kick starting, that would be a change back to their ore KS era.
Until I see more, which makes me feel that Mantic is capable of turning concept art into quality models with more than a 60% success rate, I am going to be upset over my poor investment of 500ish$ and skeptical of any future art concepts or promotions.
Nice concept art... Generic and forgettable origin fluff which does the warpath universe no favors. Let's see if it materializes into a quality figure or not.

So the new Warpath race is a 90s comicbook super villain?
Can the X-men survive the onslaught of Carnapocolypz and his army of Blood Fists?!?

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.” |

Wow, thank you for this completely worthless comment in a thread populated by those of us who happen to LIKE Mantic. Take the negativity elsewhere-it's not appreciated
On topic, from the site's description, I'm thinking it's the plague. If so...dammit. Now I need ANOTHER Warpath army!!
No, No, it's true. They set the whole industry back.
