Since when did FW start using plastic blisters to put their models in? I must say it is an improvement, those little bags they came in were just asking for trouble!

I personally think the bags are better because then the models are tightly packed in the box were as the blisters the models still rattle around ,C

You do have a point there. Any idea how the vehicles are packed? I guess they would still be the bags?

I think they are still in the bags,tho my rhino doors came in a blister ,C

Ok so bit the bullet and ordered some vajjelo paints for the sons of Horus as the gw simply didn't do it this time around , shame my local model shops don't stock that range of paints oh well just have to wait for the postie now. M

My recently arrived Nightwing came in a bag. I think the upper limit on their blister size is still quite small.

Have decided while I wait for the paints best to bash on with the death guard my target to have 5 based ,painted , weathered and completed by Tuesday next week giving just under 7 days M

Paints arrived today

Hey mate, you asked in my log what paints I used. Well for my base coat I used Vallejo Panzer Aces USMC tankcrew:Astronomicon grey in a 75:25 mix. Highlights was a 60:40 mix, then straight astronomicon grey before weathering.

Promising start... looking forward to seeing how your colour works out. Don't be too bummed about not achieving an exact match to the books, as long as you are happy with it thats what counts (I think they call it artistic lisence lol!)

Yes that's the EC etched brass aquilas and the EC symbol on his shoulder pad is also from the etched brass tho point to note you only get 5 aquilas that are chest size .C

bought an airfix 1:48 supercat to use as a hanger vehicle or scenery or some such just thought would make an intresting if simple project truth be told stole the idea from C anway half built the model and decided it was a good base to test sons of hourus colours on rather than putting to much paint and ruining the fw models so one test patch of paint lead to anouther but now i think i've cracked it M

Looking good! I would expect there to be more wear on the bottom of the truck rather than the sides though. Are you using a sponge to get all that lovely weathering? World eater looks great as well!
